Blinds for Domes, Atria and Courtyard Glazing
Grants has experience with shading for many large and complex glazing areas. These areas tend to extremes, light, glare and heat, and a suitable shading system is required. Depending on use of the area, and the style, a variety of solutions are available, both contemporary minimalistic and traditional.
Traditional
French Pinoleum products are well-suited to these larger areas, providing filtered light and shade while allowing visibility through the material. These blinds work well on shapes and curves and can be made as conventional roof blinds with support wires as well as with side channels and no visible wires. French Pinoleum blinds can be custom-finished to any color and stay looking good over a long period of time.
Contemporary
Tensioned roller blinds can cover large areas and be made to work on some roof shapes and curves. The material needs to be suitable to operate under tension, and there are many different options for densities and colors. Roller blinds can often be concealed if space is available and planning is done early in the project. These blinds are available both with wires or zipped with side channels.
