This beautiful wooden construction orangery by David Salisbury set in the Home Counties features traditional French Pinoleum Blinds. A particular feature of the blinds installed within this orangery is the solar reflective lining added to both the roof and window blinds.
The inclusion of lining to the blinds ensures maximum performance of the blinds in providing solar protection against UV damage, solar heat gain as well as providing extra insulation in the colder months. This without making the room dark however visibility through the blinds is not possible.
Grants were engaged in the early drawing stages which enabled essential wiring to be hidden during construction. The roof blinds in this project, were fitted below the glazing bars covering several panels with one blind reducing the number of blinds and motors required. The French Pinoleum blinds create an almost magical relaxing feel as can be seen in this video.
